Hope is Here

We fight hunger and poverty in New Jersey by assisting those in need and seeking long-term solutions. We engage, educate and empower all sectors of society in the battle. We fill the emptiness caused by hunger with Food, Help and Hope.

Food & Nutrition Programs

More than eight hundred partners – including food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters – ensure that nutritious food is available to families in need year-round.

Resource Access Programs

We make sure everyone eligible for government benefits gets them by providing SNAP application assistance in our communities.

Workforce Development

Our job training programs seek to address the root cause of hunger – poverty – by providing those in need with interpersonal and professional skills to help them earn a living wage.

Our Results

38 million Americans are food insecure, which means they don’t know if they have enough to feed themselves and their families. About 800,000 live right here in New Jersey. Together, we can end hunger.

24

million pounds of healthy produce distributed each year

85

million meals provided every year

17000

volunteer visits annually

🧡 Whether you volunteer once or become a regular, every hour that you spend at CFBNJ makes a difference!

Just as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. devoted his life to achieving social and economic justice for Black Americans, by advancing our mission, CFBNJ ...seeks equity and justice for our neighbors in need. We know that this starts with ensuring that everyone has enough to eat, regardless of their race, socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexuality or disability status.

When you lend a hand in the fight against hunger, you are continuing the legacy of Dr. King by being of service to others. We all have the power to make a difference! Learn how you can get involved at cfbnj.org. #MLKDay #HopeisHere

🗣️ “We are concerned [TEFAP] can’t keep up with the headwinds and continued demand we are seeing.” —@FoodBankCarlos, President & CEO... of @CFBNJ

That’s why we’re urging lawmakers to increase TEFAP funding to help food banks meet the need for food. https://t.co/hpgNVjvIRr

Thank you, @ChickfilA, for donating $75,000 through @FeedingAmerica in support of our Family Pack program! Their generosity will make a big ...difference as we seek to provide over 1.4 million meals through Family Packs this year - four times more than last year.

Touch a life
