Broadley’s Virtual Fund Drive

According to a recently released Monmouth University poll, roughly 1 in 3 Americans has felt economic pain due to loss of income as a result of COVID-19, and low-income households have been hit hardest. The staggering economic impact of the pandemic will likely cause a dramatic increase in the need for food in the days, weeks, and months ahead.

Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland counties – the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, Egg Harbor Township location service areas – have some of the state’s highest rates of child food insecurity: 17.9% in Atlantic, 17.6% in Cape May and 17.9% in Cumberland. We have served three times as many first-time clients than we typically do during this unsettling time. We have experienced a 55% decrease in food donations, coupled with a 50% increase in demand.

The FoodBank can’t do it alone. With your help, we can reach more families during this uncertain time. Your gift makes a difference.

It will take the goodness and generosity of others to truly make a difference in the lives of struggling New Jerseyans during the pandemic and all year long.

Thank you and be well.
