In this time of social distancing, it is important to stay connected and informed.
Our annual early spring tradition, the Women Fighting Hunger Luncheon is going virtual, featuring guest speakers First Lady of New Jersey Tammy Murphy and Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, CEO of Feeding America, and program moderator Michelle Charlesworth, Co-anchor of WABC-TV Eyewitness News.
The Community FoodBank of New Jersey works hand in hand with more than 1,000 community partners in the fight against hunger. New Jersey faced a disproportionate impact from COVID-19, with food insecurity projected to rise by 56%—greater than the expected increases nationwide and in our neighboring states of New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. This reflects more than 1.2 million residents, about 400,000 of whom are children.
Please Join Us at this virtual gathering to learn, contribute and join the fight against hunger.
Because the event is virtual this year, there will be no costs for food and beverages. 100% of the event expenses are being generously underwritten by our sponsors. Therefore, every dollar you give will help support our mission to provide food, help, and hope to our families and children in need.
$1 = 3 meals. Every $250 provides 750 meals.
