Karen’s Fundraiser

Hi Friends!! These past several weeks have impacted so many of us emotionally, physically and financially. Last week after seeing the thousands of cars lined up for the food distribution in Egg Harbor I just couldn’t get the images out of my mind. So many in our community are in need to feed their families for the first time in their lives. They ran out of the 1,500 food kits in under 3 hours and had to turn away over 1,000 others.

I contacted the food bank to see if I could help so they can do another community food distribution. If you have any food to donate please contact me to arrange pick up or drop off. If you are able to help financially please donate below, no amount is too small and greatly appreciated!! If you are reading this and are in need yourself, please contact me and I will see that you privately receive what you need.

Thank you so much for your help and please stay safe and healthy!!!

Karen

The coronavirus outbreak has made a major impact on the lives of 7 in 10 New Jerseyans (71%). This percentage is larger than 62% of all Americans who feel the same. Additionally, the COVID-19 impact on the South Jersey economy could be more than $5 billion.

The New York Times reported on the surge in need in South Jersey, where the Community FoodBank of New Jersey served thousands of out-of-work Atlantic City casino employees last week. “Many suddenly unemployed workers in one of the nation’s wealthiest states say they have been pushed to the edge of hunger, forced to ask for help for the first time in their lives.” Click HERE to view the full story.

The COVID-19 impact on the South Jersey economy could be more than $5 billion. The FoodBank has served three times as many first-time clients than it typically does during this unsettling time and has experienced a 55% decrease in food donations, coupled with a 50% increase in demand.

The FoodBank can’t do it alone. With your help, we can reach more families during this uncertain time. Your gift makes a difference.

It will take the goodness and generosity of others to truly make a difference in the lives of struggling New Jerseyans during the pandemic and all year long.

Thank you and be well.
