October FoodBank FUNdraisers

People face hunger year-round, and the FoodBank works to provide healthy food to hungry New Jerseyans every day — with your help. We have fun (and easy) ways to support our cause this fall.

Check out our October events…

    • Empty Bowls: When you paint a bowl at Fire Me Up! in Cranford before Saturday, October 15, you’re supporting the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. A portion of the proceeds will go to the FoodBank and the painted bowls will be donated to our Empty Bowls Fundraiser on Thursday, October 20. For tickets, click here.

    • Nourishing Neighbors at ACME: Shopping at ACME? Fight hunger at the same time. As part of the Nourishing Neighbors campaign, $0.10 will be donated to the FoodBank for every Thomas’ product you purchase now through Thursday, October 27.

    • Great American Milk Drive: Head to Somers Point ShopRite on Sunday, October 9, to help us stuff the truck. Purchase a gallon of milk to donate, taste smoothies made by ShopRite’s dietitian and have a blast.

    • Paint It Forward: Take “paint ‘n sip” to a whole new level… Paint It Forward. Join us at Canvas & Grapes in Edison on Friday, November 18, for an artsy evening that will help our cause. Get your tickets today!

    • 50 Bites+: It’s exactly as it sounds. When you purchase a ticket for Atlantic City Weekly’s 50 Bites+, a portion of the proceeds will go to the FoodBank — and you get to grab more than 50 samplings at Atlantic County’s best restaurants between Thursday, October 13, through Thursday, December 1.

    • RISE of the Jack O’Lanterns: Walk through the Meadowlands Exposition Center, where you’ll be surrounded by thousands of hand-carved illuminated Jack O’Lanterns, to ring in Halloween. RISE of the Jack O’Lanterns makes its New Jersey debut from Thursday, October 27, through Sunday, October 30, and ticket proceeds will benefit the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.

    • Sip & Savor Somers Point: Somers Point Restaurant Week is quickly approaching! Before it begins in November, Clancy By the Bay will have a kickoff on Sunday, October 30. There will be drinks and bites, and the event will benefit the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. Click here for tickets.
