Students Change Hunger is underway! Students have started collecting food for the statewide competition — and some schools have even come by the FoodBank to weigh what they have so far. There’s still time to sign up for students to unite in the fight against hunger, so register your school at studentschangehunger.org today.
Speaking of Students Change Hunger… We had a visit from four New Jersey radio stations in mid-October to talk about the program, which began in September and runs through December 12, as well as other ways people can help feed their hungry neighbors. FoodBank staff, volunteers and Students Change Hunger schools got on the air in our warehouse to share stories about our work and to encourage people to join in.
The annual live broadcast at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey included Students Change Hunger supporters from Greater Media: Magic 98.3, WCTC, WDHA and WMTR. The stations are also keeping up with the schools registered (and the poundage they’ve collected)!
