Donate Food & Goods

At CFBNJ, we want to provide balanced and nutritious meals for those in need, which is why your donation of specific foods and goods is essential.

How Your Donation Helps

The Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) recognizes hunger as a health issue. A main component of our mission is to provide food and meals that are healthy and nutritious. Simultaneously, donated food items need to be non-perishable to accommodate food pantries, as well as neighbors who might not have a way to refrigerate foods at home.

Host an On-Site Food Drive

Food drives are a great way to bring the local community together to fight against hunger and collaborate toward a better future. We appreciate your support and look forward to using your donations to help our hungry neighbors all over New Jersey!

Retail Food Donations

Are you part of a company or an organization? We welcome all types of corporate support and offer customized partnership opportunities to meet each company's unique goals and needs.

Period Product & Diaper Drives

Thousands of New Jersey residents are in need of hygienic basics such as diapers or period products. You can help make a difference in the lives of others by hosting a diaper or period product drive.

Meal Kit & Packing Parties

Bring your community together and host a packing party by using our toolkits, signage, and suggestions to successfully collect food and grocery products to help families in need. Have a fun time while simultaneously helping New Jerseyans in need!

What Items Your NJ Neighbors Need

A food drive is a powerful way to bring together your community to make a direct impact on the fight against hunger. Here are the items we need the most to provide nutritious meals to our neighbors in need:

Reusable Bag Initiative

The Single Use Plastic Bag Ban went into effect on May 4th of 2022. Currently, nearly 300 of our network partners (food pantries, soup kitchens, and more) are accepting donations of clean, new, or gently used reusable shopping bags. These partners distribute the nutritious food supplied by the Community FoodBank of New Jersey to our neighbors in need.

A plastic bag ban presents a new challenge to our agencies looking to get food into the hands of hungry New Jerseyans quickly and efficiently. By donating a new or gently used reusable shopping bag, you are not only helping the environment but keeping costs down for our partners.
