Let's Work Together To Fight Hunger In New Jersey

At the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, we’re more than a just food bank—we’re a driving force for change in our communities. Together, we can create a stronger, more resilient New Jersey for everyone.

We’re on a mission to make a real difference in New Jersey. By engaging, educating, and empowering our communities, we fill the void caused by hunger with food, help, and hope. Join us and be part of the movement that transforms lives and builds a brighter future for all.

    Departments

    • The Advocacy Department serves as a dedicated force driving positive change in the fight against food insecurity across the states. With a core mission of advocating for a hunger-free New Jersey, the Advocacy Department strategically engages with policymakers, community leaders, and stakeholders to enact impactful policies that address the root cause of food insecurity.

    • The Finance Department holds the responsibility for managing funds on behalf of the organization. This department oversees both incoming and outgoing financial transactions while striving to maintain seamless and uninterrupted business operations.

    • The Human Resources Department drives our organization’s growth by sourcing exceptional talent, administrating competitive compensation and implementing nonprofit-specific employment policies that foster a safe, nurturing, and productive workplace.

    • The Network Relations Department fosters cohesion among communities. This involves building and nurturing relationships with fellow community organizations and coalitions. These collaborations broaden access to resources and distributions avenues, while also actively identifying and implementing solutions to effectively combat food insecurity.

    • The Operations Department holds the responsibility of facilitating the efficient retrieval of food and its subsequent distribution within our community. This department comprises various sub-departments such as security, facilities management, and food sourcing, all collectively working to ensure the smooth functioning of our operations.

    • The Program Department’s focus is to identify and utilize resources to eliminate hunger. Programs focuses on creating systemic resources aimed at addressing the root cause of hunger for people of all ages and background.

    • The Resource Development Department is responsible for strategically identifying potential donors, raising funds for the organization, crafting concise and impactful communications, and establishing robust internal frameworks that bolster philanthropic endeavors.

    • The Technology Department is responsible for managing and optimizing our digital infrastructure. From maintaining network stability and cybersecurity to providing technical support and implementing innovative solutions, the IT team enables seamless operations and drives technological advancement.

    • The Workforce Development Department provides services to those who are encountering barriers to entering the workforce. Through comprehensive workforce development and education opportunities, strategic partnerships and tailored programming, participants acquire essential job-related skills, thus facilitating a smooth transition into gainful employment.
