Departments
Advocacy
The Advocacy Department serves as a dedicated force driving positive change in the fight against food insecurity across the states. With a core mission of advocating for a hunger-free New Jersey, the Advocacy Department strategically engages with policymakers, community leaders, and stakeholders to enact impactful policies that address the root cause of food insecurity.
Finance
The Finance Department holds the responsibility for managing funds on behalf of the organization. This department oversees both incoming and outgoing financial transactions while striving to maintain seamless and uninterrupted business operations.
Human Resources
The Human Resources Department drives our organization’s growth by sourcing exceptional talent, administrating competitive compensation and implementing nonprofit-specific employment policies that foster a safe, nurturing, and productive workplace.
Network Relations
The Network Relations Department fosters cohesion among communities. This involves building and nurturing relationships with fellow community organizations and coalitions. These collaborations broaden access to resources and distributions avenues, while also actively identifying and implementing solutions to effectively combat food insecurity.
Operations
The Operations Department holds the responsibility of facilitating the efficient retrieval of food and its subsequent distribution within our community. This department comprises various sub-departments such as security, facilities management, and food sourcing, all collectively working to ensure the smooth functioning of our operations.
Programs
The Program Department’s focus is to identify and utilize resources to eliminate hunger. Programs focuses on creating systemic resources aimed at addressing the root cause of hunger for people of all ages and background.
Resource Development
The Resource Development Department is responsible for strategically identifying potential donors, raising funds for the organization, crafting concise and impactful communications, and establishing robust internal frameworks that bolster philanthropic endeavors.
Technology
The Technology Department is responsible for managing and optimizing our digital infrastructure. From maintaining network stability and cybersecurity to providing technical support and implementing innovative solutions, the IT team enables seamless operations and drives technological advancement.
Workforce Development
The Workforce Development Department provides services to those who are encountering barriers to entering the workforce. Through comprehensive workforce development and education opportunities, strategic partnerships and tailored programming, participants acquire essential job-related skills, thus facilitating a smooth transition into gainful employment.
