While the FoodBank works to feed our neighbors in need, we also focus on providing pathways to a better life, which would not be possible without the support of corporate partners like ADP.
For the past two years, ADP has donated funds to our Food Service Training Academy (FSTA), a 15-week intensive culinary and life skills program for those in need of a second chance. With their support, the program is provided at no cost to the students, who leave equipped with marketable job skills that can lead to a living wage.
“The Food Service Training Academy exemplifies the FoodBank’s commitment to seeking long-term solutions to the problem of hunger,” said Carlos Rodriguez, President & CEO of the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. “ADP’s investment in the program is an investment in the futures of its students and their families.”
Since joining the ranks of the FoodBank’s Impact Partners as a Leadership Partner, ADP has also shown continued commitment to volunteerism. Last year, ADP volunteers made thirteen trips to the FoodBank, donating a total of 718 volunteer hours. They were even with us on Red Nose Day, happily wearing their red noses as they sorted and packed boxes of donated food.
The company was also a sponsor of our 6th Annual Chefs Tableside Dinner in October.
“ADP is a forward-thinking partner,” Carlos added. “They support the FoodBank on many levels, helping us distribute food for today while providing opportunities to alleviate hunger permanently for our Food Service Training Academy students.”
