Now More Than Ever

We fight hunger and poverty in New Jersey by assisting those in need and seeking long-term solutions. We engage, educate and empower all sectors of society in the battle. We fill the emptiness caused by hunger with Food, Help and Hope.

Food & Nutrition Programs

More than eight hundred partners – including food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters – ensure that nutritious food is available to families in need year-round.

Resource Access Programs

We make sure everyone eligible for government benefits gets them by providing SNAP application assistance in our communities.

Workforce Development

Our job training programs seek to address the root cause of hunger – poverty – by providing those in need with interpersonal and professional skills to help them earn a living wage.

Our Results

38 million Americans are food insecure, which means they don’t know if they have enough to feed themselves and their families. Over 650,000 live right here in New Jersey. Together, we can end hunger.

35

million pounds of healthy produce distributed each year

85

Calling all advocates! Senator Cory Booker will be hosting a virtual Farm Bill Town Hall on Wednesday, June 7 at 2:30 pm.

The Farm Bill is ...very important to CFBNJ's work fighting hunger! Congress passes this omnibus legislation every five years that sets national policy and funding levels for agriculture, nutrition, food assistance, conservation, and more. The bill reauthorizes SNAP, our nation's front line defense against food insecurity.

Happy #PrideMonth from CFBNJ! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

This month, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and the freedom to be ...unapologetically yourself. With joy, love, and pride, we affirm all unique identities.

Meet Ali (she/they), CFBNJ's Mobile Pantry Manager in South Jersey. They bring food to areas where there are not enough food pantries and soup kitchens to meet the need.

In honor of Pride Month, we asked Ali about her job and identity:

"As the Mobile Pantry Manager, I travel across Cape May, Cumberland, and Atlantic Counties connecting some of our most rural and isolated neighbors with emergency food. As a visibly queer person, it's both nerve-wracking and joyful to show up in new and unexpected places! I'm so grateful that CFBNJ makes me feel safe to be my most authentic self and that just by showing up, I can remind our neighbors that queer people are everywhere, too."

We're LIVE at Workforce Development Graduation! Join us as we celebrate our Food Service Training Academy and Warehouse Logistics Training ...Academy graduates. One of our biggest classes yet since the pandemic, our FSTA and WLTA graduates have worked hard through weeks of intensive training. As we send them off into the food service and logistics industries, we can't wait to see what the future has in store for each of our graduates! 🎓🥕
