Learn MoreWe fight hunger and poverty in New Jersey by assisting those in need and seeking long-term solutions. We engage, educate and empower all sectors of society in the battle. We fill the emptiness caused by hunger with Food, Help and Hope.
More than eight hundred partners – including food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters – ensure that nutritious food is available to families in need year-round.
We make sure everyone eligible for government benefits gets them by providing SNAP application assistance in our communities.
Our job training programs seek to address the root cause of hunger – poverty – by providing those in need with interpersonal and professional skills to help them earn a living wage.
38 million Americans are food insecure, which means they don’t know if they have enough to feed themselves and their families. Over 650,000 live right here in New Jersey. Together, we can end hunger.
Hunger exists in every community across New Jersey. Meet a few of the people you help us serve.

We ❤️ our volunteers! April is #VolunteerAppreciationMonth, but every day, they give selflessly of their time to sort food, scoop bulk pasta, ...build senior boxes, create Family Packs, inspect produce, and so much more to help feed the 650,000 New Jerseyans who are food insecure.
CFBNJ is grateful for its arsenal of helping hands. Without them, we couldn't make progress in the fight against hunger, and last year alone, they gave nearly 67,000 hours of their time.
