Spencer’s & Spirit Halloween has been an invaluable partner in our mission to address food insecurity and provide essential support to families in need, especially in South Jersey, where they are headquartered. Their dedication goes beyond financial contributions, extending to impactful volunteer work, product donations, and in-kind support that touches every aspect of our organization.
To date, Spencer’s and Spirit Halloween has donated an incredible $335,000 to support various CFBNJ initiatives. Last year alone, they donated $105,000 to help support our mission. This included sponsorships for our Night of 300,000 Meals and Women Fighting Hunger Luncheon special events, as well as a general donation that has been instrumental in helping us address the growing need for food assistance in our communities.
Beyond monetary contributions, Spencer’s & Spirit Halloween has provided in-kind donations, including office supplies to enhance the efficiency of our mobile pantries. They’ve also given more than 3,200 pounds of food and nearly 500 pounds of essential hygiene items, like period supplies and diapers. And their generosity didn’t stop there — 300 Halloween costumes were also donated, bringing joy to many children and families during the holiday season.
The spirit of giving at Spencer’s & Spirit Halloween is also exemplified by their commitment to volunteerism. Their employees have contributed 520 volunteer hours, sorting 62 pallets of frozen food, 32 pallets of dry food, and packing more than 600 emergency food boxes. On one remarkable day, they served 144 families at our Egg Harbor Township Community Assistance Pantry!
“As a Visionary Corporate Impact Partner, Spencer’s & Spirit Halloween has shown an extraordinary commitment to our work,” said Elizabeth McCarthy, President & CEO of the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. “Their contributions have made a significant impact on the lives of families, particularly in South Jersey, where more than 65,000 people are food insecure, and we are deeply grateful for their partnership.”
