Did you know that nearly 1 in 2 families in the U.S. cannot afford diapers?
Babies require up to 12 diapers per day, which adds up to $70-$80 per month per child — a cost many struggling families simply cannot afford. One in four parents & caregivers with diaper need reported missing work or school because they didn’t have enough diapers to drop off their child off at daycare. In addition, diapers are not covered by most federally funded public assistance programs such as SNAP (formerly food stamps) or WIC because they are not food items. Simply put, no parent should have to make the impossible choice between food and diapers for their child.
Since 2021, CFBNJ’s Women Fighting Hunger has hosted the #GreatBigDiaperDrive to address diaper need. The 2022 #GreatBigDiaperDrive was a huge success raising over $19,000 and collecting over 250,000 diapers, tens of thousands of wipes and other necessities for our neighbors in need.

Our Bundle of Hope Baby Kit is a vital tool for your product drive. It includes guidelines, checklists, and printables that will come in handy when distributing information about your drive. Pick a date, grab your friends, neighbors, colleagues, and collect/purchase items. *NOTE: All items must be new and in original packaging.
Raise Diaper Need Awareness, Advocate, & Educate
Spread the word. Announce your drive via social media, emails, and notices to your specific group. Use CFBNJ’s Diaper Awareness resources, including sample messages and social media images, to share information about diaper drives and educate your family, friends, colleagues and community about diaper need.
