Please Help Our Neighbors Put Food on their Table.
The increased need for food continues unabated in New Jersey. The coronavirus outbreak has made a major impact on the lives of 7 in 10 New Jerseyans (71%). For the Community of FoodBank New Jersey (CFBNJ), May was a record-breaking month where nearly seven million meals were distributed – the most in their 45 year history. CFBNJ hosts drive-up food distribution in Essex County and throughout New Jersey. Thousands of Family Packs are made to provide for children who have lost access to school meals. Many are experiencing a layoff or reduction in work hours as a result of COVID-19, and low-income households have been hit hardest.
