Every community in the state, including yours, is affected by hunger. When you make a donation to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, you directly support our mission and operations as we address hunger throughout New Jersey.
When you make a donation to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, we dedicate 92% of our expenses to programs and allocate just 8% to administration and fundraising.

Give A Recurring Donation
By giving a recurring gift to CFBNJ, you can help end hunger all year long. Our Sustainers Circle is an effective way for you to continuously assist our neighbors. Donating $30 monthly would mean feeding your neighbor for a whole month. It only requires a simple one-time sign-up with the option to pause, end or opt-out at any time, and you can set the frequency- weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, and more. Your recurring donations make a direct difference in our community by giving our organization a reliable income.
Your monthly donation will have twice the impact, helping even more families in need. This incredible opportunity is available from January 1 to December 31, 2025, for all new monthly pledges up to a total of $50,000.
Give In Tribute
Honor a loved one while providing food for neighbors in need. Giving in tribute is a heartfelt way to honor someone important while aiding hunger relief, whether in celebration or remembrance. Join our Sustainers Circle or make a one-time payment as a tribute to a loved one today.
To make a tribute donation, make sure to check the “give in honor or in memory” box and type in your honoree’s name. After your donation is complete, you will have the option to add a custom message to your gift. This note will be sent to the recipient via email or postcard- your choice.
Family Philanthropy
Your family’s charitable values create an ethical continuity across generations and anchor your own purpose and goals. Our Donor Engagement team partners with families, both as generous supporters and as champions of our mission to end hunger in New Jersey. When you transfer ownership of long-term holdings to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, you receive a charitable deduction for their full market value – and you incur no capital gains tax (subject to IRS deduction limits).
According to IRS regulations, the date of your gift corresponds to the date it arrives in our possession (for transfers from brokerage account to brokerage account). The following information is necessary to transfer stock to our account:

Matching Gifts
With the support of our corporate partners, CFBNJ can offer our donors the option of matching gifts- for every dollar you donate, your employer will match the amount given. We are fortunate to say we have over 100 corporate partners from which you can browse to see if your employer participates.

CVS Pharmacy
At participating CVS stores, customers can donate $1 or $3 at the checkout register. Donations will support local food banks and programs that support people facing hunger.
