STATEMENT FROM CARLOS M. RODRIGUEZ, PRESIDENT AND CEO OF THE COMMUNITY FOODBANK OF NEW JERSEY,
ON ANTI-HUNGER BILLS SIGNED INTO LAW
HILLSIDE, NJ—May 9, 2019
Today, the state of New Jersey makes great progress in the fight against hunger as Governor Murphy signs Speaker Coughlin’s proposed bills into law. With their leadership and the support of state legislators, we can leverage resources from government, business, and charitable entities to eliminate hunger as a barrier to success for our neighbors in need. I want to thank Governor Murphy, Speaker Coughlin, and the entire New Jersey state legislature for their visionary work to establish a hunger-free New Jersey.
