Elaine is recently retired from forty years as a cashier at ShopRite, one of CFBNJ’s oldest and most committed corporate supporters.
Their annual Partners in Caring campaign inspired her to start volunteering to sort food at our Egg Harbor Township location. “Right now, there are a lot of people who are out of work. Many of them worked in the casinos. It’s really been tough,” she told us. She comes in twice a week, dedicating her time and energy to helping her South Jersey neighbors in need.
“It feels great to volunteer at the FoodBank, knowing that I’m helping somebody,” Elaine said.
