At Community FoodBank of New Jersey, we accept and encourage food donations! However, sometimes it can be tough to figure out what you should donate. We don’t want you to waste your time guessing, so let us help you get an idea of what we need and what we can accept!
First of all, thank you for donating food to us. What you donate will be distributed to food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and organizations all over New Jersey and help people who might be right in your neighborhood.
What Items We Need at CFBNJ
There are some items we definitely need and some items we unfortunately cannot accept at our facilities. Whether you’re donating food to our food bank at our Hillside or Egg Harbor Township locations, here are some items to keep in mind:
- Shelf stable milk
- Instant potatoes
- Macaroni and cheese
- Spaghetti & meatballs
Peanut Butter & Jelly (plastic jars only)
- Almond butter
Canned fruits & vegetables
- Green beans
- Mixed fruits
PLEASE NOTE: No glass or open items accepted. Please refrain from donating fresh perishable items.
We are also always accepting diapers and feminine hygiene products!
If you have any further questions, you can always call the Food Sourcing department at our facilities. However, if you’re ready, you can start a virtual food drive for CFBNJ by registering it online. Thank you for your support!
